Last weekend we spent the majority of the afternoon and evening in the ER waiting to get Case’s leg splinted. Apparently that just wasn’t enough hospital fun for our family because this Friday it was my turn to visit the ER. I either caught what Case got from the ER and fought off all week or I picked up some food poisoning from Sonic that I couldn’t shake. After almost 24 hours of not being able to keep even a sip of water down my OB said get to the hospital. Even with the Angle of Death hovering inside my stomach, Cody and I both agreed this trip the hospital was much easier than last week because 1)we managed to beat the Friday night rush hour 2) we got right into a nice room with a tv. 3) we were able to drop Case off at the daycare so we didn’t have to worry about feeding and entertaining a 1 year old for 6 hours in a boring hospital. 2 liters of fluid later and a couple doses of anti-nausea meds they sent me home. Recovery has been s-l-o-w. Thank goodness Cody was home because there is NO way I could have done it without him. Thank you hubby for completely taking over everything while I was down and out.

Oh no, what a rough weekend. Hope you're back in tip top shape soon. Glad God worked it out for your hubby to be home at the right time.
Holly, you are like the energizer bunny. I can't believe what all you're managing right now! So glad that Cody was home and the daycare was available!
Omg HoJo! I can't believe how much trouble your stomach has been giving you. Like you weren't having enough problems and you get sick. I'm glad you got to the ER and were hydrated and you were able to rest up without having to worry about taking care of Case. Take care and I hope the stomach problems are behind you soon!
Update: I was no better by Monday so the dr ordered in some home health care which was more than I bargained for. I ended up with another home IV and some kind of automatic medicine pump for nausea. Needless to say I was hooked up to machines and feeling very ashamed that I had so little control over my own body. I am finally on the mend this time. The iv is out and hopefully I can take the med pump out tomorrow. Only problem is now Cody is sick. Let’s hope he is strong enough to fight it off and I can still make it home to Oklahoma. If not, he more than deserves a bedside nurse and my trip will be canceled to take care of my sweetie who took over all house hold duties, childcare, cooking, driving to dr appts, and even changed my IV and med pump.
I can't believe how sick you've been! Like the girls, I'm glad Cody was home to take care of you when you needed it so badly. I'm hoping and praying that you're much better (and that Cody's much better) so that you can take your much deserved R&R in OKC.
