Here are my daily fears. Getting off the phone with a client and unknowingly saying, “I love you” before hanging up. Dropping my sweatpants at the gym only to realize I don’t have shorts on. Silly fears, yes, but they are what they are.

Chased Down
Yesterday at the gym one of the nursery workers came and told me Case was poopy and I needed to come and change him. Typically I don’t bring a diaper bag into the gym because I seldom need it. Anyway, I was wrapping up my workout and decided to take my workout stuff to my car and swap it out for diaper bag stuff. So I get dressed, grab my purse, water, bottle, etc and head out the car. Let me just say they don’t keep people at the front desk just to greet you as you walk in because two people chased me out to my car yelling ‘your baby, your baby!’ I got the all clear to proceed after I explained I was just dropping excess stuff of and getting my diaper bag but that got me wondering. How many people have forgotten their kids at daycare?

Still Trying
Case has finally decided to think about showing interest in learning to walk. He can crawl as fast as a bullet so I can see why moving to what would initially be a slower mode of transportation would be unappealing. However he has decided to entertain the notion and give it a whirl. Most babies cruise on furniture for balance and then let go, not Case. He wants to go from a sitting position in the center of the floor, to a standing position and then walk, in that order only.
The fireplace is one of Case's favorite perches to practice standing. He also likes to sit on a package of toilet paper, pallet of water, case of pop or just about anything can be used as a push off pad for practice.
Look at me! I'm standing!
One step. Two step. Down we go. Maybe he will be walking by the time he turns 2.

Pics
Whoever invented these Crayola bathtub washable markers is a genius. Case loves them. He tries to get in the tub at least twice a day to play with them.
Kissy. Kissy. Case is getting the hang of kissing. He will allow you kiss him and graciously gives kisses when we are departing. Those little kisses are the best!
Showcasing his super cute winter hat which he loves to wear because people always smile and coo at him.

Christmas Part Two Recap
Grandma and grandpa came to visit for Christmas fun round two and we had a great time. We didn't do much aside from spent a lot of time together which is the best part about thier visits. Case's favorite Christmas gifts include a cash register from Uncle Jason, Chuck the talking truck from Grandma/pa, play eggs from mom and dad and musical Christmas books from Great Grandma/pa.
Grandma/pa both say they can see a difference in Case's development since Thanksgiving. For example, Case is pulling up, cruising and walking with assistance from some of his push toys. He can put put the correct shapes into his shape shorter, stack his rings and match colors. Just the other day he started going to bed on his own which is the cutest thing. If he's getting tired and its almost time for a nap all you have to say is, 'do you want to go to sleep?' and if he is tired, he crawles upstairs and stands up by his bed. He understands everything we say and can even repeat a few things. Right now he can say: cheese, egg, oh-no, dog, cat (ba), ma-ma, da-da, one, two, three and juice. He can woof like a dog, meow like a cat, hiss like a snake and make a fish face. He knows where his nose, feet and eyes are located and he is learning new things every day. Here are a few pics from our Christmas fun.
Making sure he got everything out of Great Grandma and Great Grandpa's Christmas sack.
Rolling tiny trucks off his head
Oh the fun we had with this new tunnel and tent! Good times.
Trying his first Rhubarb. I guess it needed a tad more sugar.
