Nana came back from a cruise with the most adorable cruise outfits for the boys ever! Case loved getting mail and was especially fond of the glasses. This picture simply does not do justice to the cuteness of the outfit. Cole has a matching outfit as well. Needless to say, mama is super excited for Halloween now. They are going to be so incredibly adorable! Thank you Nana!

1st Hair Cut
Cody is a stickler for keeping his hair high and tight. He has his hair cut every 2 weeks. Therefore it drives his crazy when the boys start to look a tad shaggy. Although I like the look of a new haircut, I tend to let the boys hair go a bit longer simply because I have a hard time spending 12 for a kids cut every couple weeks. However Cody was adamite that Cole needed a hair cut. So our sweet little boy had his first sheering last week. Here are a couple pics of his hair before and after.
See how his sideburns are over his ears? This is a particular pet peeve of Cody’s.
I’ll admit, the front was a bit shaggy.
Cole did great. He sat as still as could be expected for an 8 month old.
No tears for my big boy. Looks like he was even having a little bit of fun.
The finished product, much shorter. I’m not a fan of the do combed down but it does look super cute when the front is all spiked up.
Can you believe she was able to use the clippers, scissors and electric trimmers to tidy up his burns and neck?! He did great!
Both sides look good. Dad even says, Cole looks respectable now.

Just Having Fun
Today after taking a bath Case was standing on the bathmat and drying himself off. I turned around to sneak a peek at Cole. When I pivoted my body back in Case’s direction he was peeing on my flip flops! I hollered, ‘Case, no!’ And Case said, ‘I’m just having fun mama.’ Ahhhh boys.

Goodnight
Me: Case, it's time for bed. Tell me goodnight.
Case: Wait I need to say goodnight to baby Cole. (running into Coles room and then returning)
Me: Did you tell him goodnight?
Case: Yes I told him goodnight and I love you.
Me: Did you give him a hug?
Case: Yes. I gave him a big hug and a kiss and a lick.
A lick. Big brother torture has officially begun.

Work Bites...Literally
Earlier this week I was bitten by a dog while doing a home visit seeing clients. To say the wound was impressive is an understatement. Stitches would have been used; however since it was a dog bite, the risk of infection was too high. Therefore the wound was taped up and left to heal. When the doc said it would probably take at least 6 weeks to heal my first thought was, thank goodness this didn’t happen right before leaving for Hawaii! I know, vanity, vanity. This pic was taken a couple hours after I was bitten.

Freaking Awsome!
The male bond between father and son begins early in life. In an effort to potty train Case, Cody and I frequently take him into the bathroom to “watch” how things are done. Tonight it was Cody’s turn to go to the bathroom. Case followed him in to practice sitting on the potty while daddy went poop. After the deed was done Case asked if he could “see the poopies.” Cody stood up. Case looked into the toilet and then looked at Cody and said, “That’s freaking awesome!”

Big Enough For Two
Thank goodness, I am finally able to fuse bath time routines. Keeping everyone clean is so much easier now that Cole is out of sink baths and Case is old enough to play for a minute or two by himself while I get jammies on Cole after his portion of the bath. I am glad we have a tub big enough for 2 because both of the boys enjoy playing together in their nightly bath.
Dirty or clean, these little stinkers are adorable either way!

Beginning of Summer
This weekend marked the beginning of yard work. Cody mowed, de-thatched, seeded and fertilized the yard. Hopefully we will soon be enjoying a thick full yard of soft green grass (the -40 degree weather this winter took a toll on lots of the outdoor plant life in Colorado this year).
Case spent a lot of time mowing alongside Cody and Cole watched on the sidelines cheering daddy on while he worked.
Is there anything more beautiful than a baby on a blanket in a beautiful yard? I think not. I'm a lucky ducky.
