The baby is kicking

The baby is kicking. He kicks all the time. I can sit and watch his kicks and punches move across my stomach as he does his little exercises in by belly. He is already on a schedule. I feel him kick the most in the evening from 5-7 pm, then again around 10-11pm. He always moves around for a minute or two after I eat (which is all the time). And sometimes he wakes me up with his little powerhouse kicks. Yikes! If he is already waking me up, I cant wait to see what things will be like as he gets bigger and stronger. The other day I was supposed to go out and do something, but the baby was just being so active I couldn’t help myself. I canceled my appointment and sat on the couch with my shirt propped up watching my little bump move all around. The whole thing is pretty amazing.

The other day I went baby shopping for the first time. I started off with a lot of steam and quickly teetered out. As I walked up and down the aisles I became overwhelmed. There is soooo much stuff out there! How the heck do I know what a baby needs? I don’t know how many onsies a baby should have or what kind of booger picker is the best. I don’t know which bath time cradles will grow with my baby or what kind of diapering essentials a person needs! Ahhhhh! I ended up spending $200 on me instead. I may not know what a baby needs, but I know what ‘me’ needs. Needless to say any suggestions you have on a ‘to buy for baby’ list is welcome.

Since I need help, I brainstormed solutions. On a side note. We are having a baby shower in Oklahoma Saturday June 14th. The date was just solidified so be expecting your invitations in the mail in the next couple weeks. Back to my solution, I have decided to bring a lump sum of moola with me to the baby shower and all my friends who want to shop with me after the shower can go and pick out everything I need to properly care and maintain a baby for the first few months. They can pick it out. Whatever they say I need, I will pay for it. Anyone who has experience in this area, please, pleeeeaaasee put this on your calendars and plan to attend the shopping spree afterwards. I need all the help I can get!

I had a hard time with this too, so after I registered I had some friend with experience look over my registry and give me ideas. I would be happy to look at your registry once you register (do it before your shower because it's fun!!) and give you any ideas. I'm also going to email you some ideas.

Online registration saves a lot of time and energy! You can also look at consumer opinions at the same time! Love ya, Jen & Eme Bleu
