I am totally bummed out. Both my mommy friends are moving this summer. I have a neighbor, Christy, who has two kids next door. We swap babysitting favors, have dinner together once or twice a month, and have even gone to a movie. They are being re-stationed to California. :( Then my other mommy friend, Rebecca, is moving to Texas. We have play dates together, chit chat on the phone, swap babysitting favors and go to a mommy and me group together. It took me 2 years to find 2 good friends and now they are all leaving! I’m trying not to be too bummed out, but this really sucks. Cody travels so much and now that I am home with the baby by myself, I’m afraid I’m going to be lonely. I’m bummed.

Overnight
I am continually amazed at how practically overnight Case has turned into a little boy. He loves to take things out of buckets and containers. His favorite color is blue and he will search through a box of blocks to pick out the blue ones. He is still fascinated by water, enjoys his baths and loves watching the water come out of the faucets. His favorite toy is still his doggie blanket and we never leave home without it. He loves books and can turn the pages all by himself. Case really enjoys the outdoors and now that the weather is warming up we sit on the front porch every night. He loves being tickled, thrown up in the air and pretending he is falling. Unfortunately the teething process is going a bit slower than I would have hoped. He has all the signs of teething, occasional diarrhea, moodiness, diaper rash, drooling. The only thing we are missing is the tooth. Hopefully this will pass soon so he can begin to enjoy his days without so much pain.
In other news, we made a quick quick trip to Oklahoma this weekend to watch a friend of mine graduate high school. While there we managed to squeeze in some quality family time. Grandparent and great grandparent time is always so special.

Is this normal?
Is this normal? Apparently screeching is Case's newest way to communicate. Needless to say things can get pretty loud in our house now days. However loud things get, the faces Case makes while screeching never fails to crack Cody and I up.

I Can't Resist
I went in to take a headshot of myself for the new business website and decided Case looked so cute he needed some more pictures taken. I can't resist! He is just too cute.

Homage to OSU
Here are the latest pics of our little man. These were by far the most successful of the portraits we have taken thus far and I firmly believe it was because grandma was at the photo shoot jumping up and down, quacking and clicking away.
Case was all smiles the entire time.
Paying homage to mommy and daddy’s alma mater, OSU.
What a cute little Cowboy!
Go Pokes!

We Miss You Grandma
Grandma came for a visit last week and Case and mommy loved every minute. Grandma got up in the mornings with Case so I could sleep in. She even cooked, swept and did dishes! Ahhhhh, heaven. I was a little worried about how Case would take to grandma visiting because he has apparently moved into the separation anxiety (more like panic attack) stage of development and can throw a royal tantrum if I’m not around. However a baby must know who his grandma is instinctually because he took to her without a moments hesitation and enjoyed her company the entire time. I think Case still looks for her to peek around the corner while he is taking a bath because he is constantly looking over my shoulder.

Out of Control!
I can’t control myself. Before Case was born I always talked about how 'less is more.' I didn’t want to be one of those parents whose house is completely over run with toys, so many toys that the child couldn’t possibly play with them all. However, now that Case his here, every time I go to the store I wind up purchasing some kind of toy, clothing, bottle, etc. I’m out of control! Is there any kind of support group for this obsession because I need help!
