Right now I am almost 20 weeks pregnant and according to baby center, my baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces. He's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel –the length of a banana. If that’s the case, how come I have gained almost 10 lbs?! I will be the first to admit that I've never been a math whiz but how can a 10 ounce baby add 10 lbs? I know the weight gain is all for the good of the baby but it is never easy to see the scale creeping up. It’s all for the baby. It’s all for the baby. I just have to keep telling myself that. It’s all for the baby. Speaking of baby, we find out for sure what the sex is this week! I can't wait to find out. Then we can start some of the fun pregnancy stuff like picking out names, room prep, baby clothes, etc. Whoo-hoo, let the fun begin!

Isn't the placenta most of the weight? I thought I had heard that. I long for the day when an extra 10 lbs. is pregnancy weight and not just food weight. I can't wait to find out what you're having!
I'm so excited to hear what you have cooking in your oven! Oh, and Krytl's right about the placenta thing. Plus with all your running and weightlifting, I'm sure you've built some muscle mass. You go, he-woman!
I can't wait to find out!!! Let us know ASAP!! And ditto on the placenta thing.
