Labor Day weekend was full of excitement. First of all Aubrey came to visit and run in the American Discovery Trail half marathon. We finished 13.5 miles in 2:53 minutes. Don't worry, her visit wasn't all work and no play. We had a great time at the hot air balloon festival, checking out artists at an outdoor art festival in manitou, taking in the scenery at Garden of the Gods, enjoying practice runs before the big day, gorging ourselves on pasta and sitting by and outdoor fire eating victory smores. The weekend was great. Here are some pics of the balloon festival and running fun.

Congrats on your race!!! We love the balloon festival (it was mine and Abe's "official" first date), but they don't have one close to us anymore!
We went to a similar festival a few years ago - I felt like a 5 year old again because I could have watched them fill the balloons with air for hours!
Also, AWESOME about the race! You are an inspiration.
